The Basilica of Bom Jesus Church is one of the oldest church in old Goa and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is famous for the remains of St. Francis Xavier which is kept in a well-decorated casket made of silver and is believed to be incorruptible. The public viewing of body is done every 10 years.
This photograph was taken during my recent trip to Goa. The Saligao Church in Goa was built-in 1873 and its foundation stone was laid on February 7,1867. It is one of the finest structures in Goa. It seems this structure is immune to passage of time and even today looks beautiful.
