Erget

I spotted this cattle egret sitting coolly on the tree. It was looking magnificent in its peak breeding plumage with orange-buff plums on the crown, neck, breast and the yellow bill. It derives its name from association with cattles.

  1. Fabulous bird. We get Little and Great Egrets on the Levels, but nothing as exotic as this. I read your profile and enthusiastically agree with you that photography is a great way to channel creativity.
